Cavendish Tour de France

Why do we need to have Britain's two best hopes for jerseys at the Tour de France on the same team?

I would love to see both Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins challenge for Jerseys at the Tour de France but as this article states http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/cavendish-not-eyeing-tour-de-france-green-jersey having Mark Cavendish on the same team as Bradley Wiggins reduces our chances of challenging for both jerseys.

Come back HTC all is forgiven.

Is Strava missing the point of cycling

There have been a few reports recently about the family that are suing Strava for the death of their relative.  http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/family-sues-strava-for-cycling-death-34299/

Surely the point of cycling is the enjoyment and if you want to compete it should be in a safe and controlled environment that someone has scoped out before hand.

Can you imagine if there was a Strava for cars or motorcycles?

I will stick to cycling for fun and fitness.

English Person Joke

It has come to my attention that some clever little puppy has made the phrase English Person rank in search for this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cunt.
If I was an English Person I would be very upset about this but I am Scottish so I find it very funny.
My wife is an English person though and will probably be very upset about this.
Sorry

SRAM Red Groupset 2013

In the endless technological war that is cycling, meet SRAM's latest protagonist courtesy of www.bikeradar.com.

This is the SRAM Red Groupset 2013 http://www.bikeradar.com/news/article/sram-red-groupset-2013-details-leaked-32565.  The video looks pretty evil.

Eurobike 2011

I recently attended the Eurobike 2011 trade show in Germany and was astounded by the number of bicycles and bicycle products on show.

As this was my fist experience of Eurobike it brought home just how big the bicycle industry is and how many products there are to see.

BikeRadar have a lot of stories from Eurobike 2011  but they still do not show more than a tenth of what is available.  You can also find a few Eurobike2011 videos here.  If you are a huge cycle fan I am sure that you will enjoy it.

Best Road Bikes Under £1000

As I said I am fairly new to this cycling lark but I am quickly finding out that it's not as inexpensive as people think.  BikeRadar lists the Best Road Bikes for Under £1000 in this article (http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/article/best-road-bikes-under-1000-29719) but reading it I can't help thinking that these bikes don't even have suspension.

What makes a bike worth £1000 my motorcycle only cost £1200?
